Day 14 - Return to Nairobi

Our last day! Although it wasn't all that far to Nairobi, we still had to pack up and leave early, by about 7.00am.

Addresses and email addys were exchanged. Some of the group were heading for Victoria Falls; some were heading for Zanzibar; some were heading other places in Africa; some were heading overseas to their homes. I was heading back to Jungle Junction Camp for the night!

Above: Our crew:- Cyrus, the driver extraordinaire; Hesbon, the tour guide; Dominic, the outstanding chef.

As I'd already been to Masai Mara previously, I didn't bother attending the afternoon briefing at the Hotel Boulevard. So it was just a restful night at JJs, before heading back to the Boulevard early next morning, for the start of the "free" 3-day Masai mara trip.

If anyone is thinking of coming to Africa to see the animals, I would highly recommend AFRICA TRAVEL CO and their 14 day [ NN14 ] Gorillas and Parks tour. It is not upmarket, as it's generally camping, with a few upgrades available. Overall, it is wonderful value for money. For the whole 17 days (including the 3 day MM trip) it cost me about $1900. This is ALL accommodation (tent, unless upgrading which is extra); ALL meals -3 meals a day - wonderful if you get a great chef like Dominic; the visit to the gorillas.; the game parks; visas etc etc. It's well worth it, believe me!
